Practical worksheets for real everyday skills.
Down the Hall Resources is a free worksheet library built for people who teach, support, coach, and care for learners who benefit from clear, practical, printable learning materials.
Why this site exists
Many classrooms, day programs, group homes, community centers, and families need functional resources quickly. The goal of this site is to make practical worksheets easier to find, easier to print, and easier to use in real routines. The resources focus on skills such as money, safety, personal care, functional reading, social communication, healthy choices, schedules, and community access.
The name comes from a simple idea: useful support should feel close by. If a staff member, teacher, caregiver, or family member needs a printable activity before a lesson or group, the resource should be just down the hall.
Who the worksheets are for
What makes the resources different
The worksheets are designed around practical situations instead of abstract drills whenever possible. A reading worksheet may use a menu, appointment card, bus schedule, or food label. A math worksheet may use money, prices, coupons, or shopping decisions. A safety worksheet may ask learners to think about doors, weather, emergencies, scams, crossings, and community routines.
Most resources can be adapted. A learner may answer independently, choose from two options, point instead of write, use real objects, complete only part of a page, or talk through the answers with staff. The printable is the starting point; the human support around it is what makes the lesson work.
How to use the site
Browse the resource library, open a worksheet page, and download the PDF. Many worksheets include a full version and a worksheet-only version. Topic pages group related resources so you can build a short lesson around money skills, personal hygiene, home safety, community safety, functional reading, job readiness, cooking, or healthy eating.
You can also use the worksheet generators to create simple custom practice pages. These tools are helpful when a learner needs repeated practice with a specific format, number range, word list, or skill target.
